ENNIS, Texas. - Steven Farr has raced all over the country behind the wheel of the Jerry Haas Chevrolet S-10, but in this weekend's NHRA O'Reilly Fallnationals hosted by the Texas Motorplex located in Ennis, Texas. Farr, who calls nearby Colleyville his home, is more than eager to participate in this latest NHRA Winston event.

Farr, who began driving for the multi-award winning chassis builder Haas back in April, is looking to reverse the fortunes of the last several events where the team has failed to qualify.

"This is my home track and I have raced here my whole racing career," explained Farr. "I just want to stay focused and just race my lane. The past two races I have learned a lot and so has the team. We knew after the final qualifying attempt at Memphis that we where back on track. This weekend I feel very relaxed because the Texas Motorplex is a facility that I am familiar with and this would the perfect place to win my first victory, but I know that I have to just take it one pass at a time. But with patience and little luck who knows where we might end up at."

Despite failing to make the cut at the last two events, Farr's season has been a plenty good one considering it is his rookie year. His best finish thus far has been a semi-final showing at the Pontiac Excitement Nationals in Columbus, Ohio. Farr also qualified for one of the two open spots at the Winston No-Bull Showdown in Bristol, TN.

Professional qualifying begins today for the Pro Stock Trucks at the NHRA O'Reilly Fall Nationals in Ennis, Texas. He will be afforded two attempts to qualify in the 16-truck field. On Saturday, he will have two more opportunities. Final eliminations are slated for Sunday.
