Baytown, Texas - - On the strength of a pass down the Houston Raceway Park quarter-mile of 7.480 seconds at 180.52 mph, Jeff Gracia, Bob Panella's teammate, from Ontario, Calif., finished the two qualifying sessions today in the fourth spot on the grid.

The speed of 180.52 mph is a career best for Gracia.

"That first run was real good for this GMC Sonoma," said Gracia. "We kind of came up with a set up we thought we were going to run at Gainesville and tuned a little bit for here in Houston and it turned out to be a good pass. On that last run we did a little experimenting on the clutch and I couldn't get down the track.

"Everything worked for Bobby (Panella). He went real fast. Tomorrow we'll try to make this truck like Bobby's truck. Hopefully we can be one and two."
