FORCE HOOD'S CREW HEADLINES NOMINEES FOR NHRA FULL THROTTLE HARD WORKING CREW

YORBA LINDA, CA (November 1, 2010) --- The Castrol GTX Mustang Funny Car crew led by co-crew chiefs Dean "Guido" Antonelli and Ron Douglas has been nominated as one of four finalists for the 2010 NHRA Full Throttle Hard Working Crew Award in the Funny Car category.

At each of the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series national events during the 2010 season, the diligence and extra effort of crewmembers on NHRA teams was saluted with the NHRA Full Throttle Hardworking Crew Award.

"I have been proud of my guys since the first day I got in this Castrol GTX Ford Mustang," beamed driver Ashley Force Hood. "They give me a great race car every qualifying session and every race. The win this year in Indy was special since we went back-to-back and it was the first race of the Countdown. You don't get more pressure than that and my crew guys really came through.

"To say they worked hard is an understatement when you are talking about getting the win at that race," Force Hood continued. "I can't think of a better way to honor their hard work and determination than seeing them win the NHRA Full Throttle Hard Working Crew Award so I want to ask all my fans to go online and vote for my Castrol GTX team for our win in Indy. I also want to thank Full Throttle for sponsoring this award."

The Castrol GTX Mustang team earned hard-working crew honors for its work in directing Force Hood to victory in the 56th annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals, he second consecutive victory in the world's oldest, largest, richest and most prestigious event. Only three other Funny Car teams ever have gone back-to-back at Indy.

The win was even more impressive when you consider that the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals was the first race of the Countdown to 1 NHRA playoffs. The NHRA Full Throttle Hardworking Crew Award of the Year will be determined by fan vote via NHRA.com.

Online voting will begin the Monday after the NHRA Las Vegas Nationals and conclude the Monday after the Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals. NHRA Full Throttle Hardworking Crew Award of the Year winners will be honored in each of the four classes at the season-ending awards ceremony. Fans can visit www.nhra.com/hardworkingcrew/ to cast their vote for Force Hood's team as well as the nominees in the Top Fuel, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle categories.
