Anderson records round win 300 at Vegas

LAS VEGAS (October 31, 2006) -- Lost in all the celebration of his teammate Jason Line clinching the 2006 NHRA POWERade Pro Stock Championship on Sunday, was the fact that Greg Anderson, driver of the KB Racing LLC / Summit Racing Equipment Pro Stock Pontiac GTO, won his 300th round of racing.

In the opening round of eliminations for the recently completed NHRA ACDelco Las Vegas Nationals, Anderson defeated Mike Edwards to record his 300th round win in a driving career that began in 1998. Anderson covered The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway quarter-mile in 6.743 seconds to 6.791 seconds for Edwards.

Anderson advanced to the semifinal round before losing at the ACDelco Las Vegas Nationals and leaves the event with a round win-loss record of 301 wins and 108 losses (a 73.4 winning percentage).

"Yep, with Jason winning the championship, I forgot all about that," said Anderson from the SEMA show in Las Vegas. "There are a lot of people to thank, but too many to name, so I'll just say thank you to Troy Humphrey, Mark Pawuk, George Marnell, and Ken Black, the people that got my driving career on track."
