"They have taken the plunge in a big way," Tuttle said. "This is the first time they have ever been involved in racing, and to jump right into Top Fuel just shows their faith in what NHRA drag racing can do."

Former Top Alcohol Funny Car driver Ron August Jr. will drive Tuttle's dragster for Sonoma. August will be returning to Top Fuel after making his debut in 2009 with Paul Smith. Since then, August has run on a limited basis with Allen and Joe Hartley.

"What a huge opportunity to drive a car that finished in the top-ten last year," August said. "I met Dexter and Tony while licensing with Mike Strasburg back in '09 and now I get to drive for them. Right now I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas morning.

"I'm also excited to have Mike and Sue Lescure involved," August continued. "I wouldn't have this opportunity if it wasn't for them. It's the best of both worlds when you have great friends, who also happen to be your sponsors. I can't thank them enough for their support."

In addition to Sonoma, Tuttle's Synergyn Fuel Additives Dragster will compete at the Charlotte, Las Vegas, and Pomona events to close out the 2011 season. Synergyn Fuel Additives will also back Tuttle's return to the tour during the 2012 season
