Treble to début new Matco Tools Suzuki

Reading, PA - Pre Race: The last time Craig Treble débuted a new Kosman chassis Matco Tools Suzuki was at the opening race of the 2002 NHRA POWERade season. What followed was a series of career best runs and multiple trips to the Pro Stock Bike winner's circle. With any luck, the Matco Tools rider may be set to raise the performance bar yet another notch in Pro Stock Bike.

"We tested our new bike this week and the short times (60 foot times) were really good. Everything went well enough to finally make the call to get this bike out." Said Treble "I have wanted this new bike on the track since early in the season, but I decided a few different times that minor revisions were needed, and I wouldn't bring it out until I felt confident that it would work like I wanted it too." Said Craig.

"It is much more comfortable to ride and is more user friendly to work on. With a new Kosman chassis, and a stout Vance & Hines motor, I hope to have this bike performing like I believe it is capable of. I'm pretty excited."

With only a few NHRA POWERade events left on the 2003 schedule, the battle for the season championship is winding down, and some are taking the opportunity to start planning for next season. Craig Treble is one of them. "We are 6th right now and we still may pick up a spot or two but it's time to get things rolling for 2004." Claimed Treble. "Getting this bike into NHRA competition is a step in that direction."

This weekend in Maple Grove, the weather looks like it will be cool, which may produce quick and fast runs from the Pro Stock Bikes. "We have traditionally run well in cool weather, so hopefully our new Matco Tools bike will pick up right were we left off and we can come out of Reading with a win and a Wally. That would be a great way to start off with the new bike."
