Reading: Toyota teams race quotes, notes

Kyle Busch (seventh), David Reutimann (eighth) and Brian Vickers (ninth) recorded top-10 finishes for Toyota in Friday night's NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) race at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Camry driver Joey Logano finished 16th in his first-ever race at Bristol.

Camry drivers Jason Leffler (15th), Mike Wallace (35th) and Denny Hamlin (36th) were also in the field.

Four Camry drivers currently are in the top-10 in the unofficial NNS point standings following Michigan. Reutimann (fourth), Busch (seventh), Leffler (eighth) and Wallace (ninth) currently rank in the top-10 for Toyota.

How frustrating was it to have the lug nut problem on pit road? "It's frustrating, but everybody else is frustrated too so you can't kick them down too bad. We just have to keep digging and tomorrow is a bigger day. These guys are the same guys for tomorrow and I would rather have it today than tomorrow. All we can do is try to take our Z-Line Toyota home and build on it for next year and try to make it better and have these guys ready for tomorrow."

How hard is it for the team to not have key members here tonight? "That's why the sport goes along without anybody else that has been here in the past -- it just keeps going. We miss Dave (Roger) and all the guys that are back at the shop and of course Jason (Ratcliff) too over here on the 18 car. We have to go on and do our business without them, but they'll be back soon enough."

Without the problem on pit road, was your car capable of winning tonight? "I felt like we were better than the 88 (Brad Keselowski) there a little bit. I know they caught us, but they couldn't get by us. With the amount of laps that were left and the adjustments that we made, I felt like we probably had something for the 2 (Clint Bowyer)."

Was it tough to pass out there tonight? "I don't know if it was tough to pass, we just weren't that good. We were mediocre pretty much all night. Jerry (Baxter, crew chief) made a few adjustments on our stops, but nothing that really made the car come to life. We just battled a tight condition the whole race, and never had anything for those guys at the front."

Will tonight's race help prepare you for Saturday's Sprint Cup Series race? "Not really. The cars are so much different now that you really can't compare one to another. We had a pretty good lap earlier today in the Cup Series car, and we're starting up front, but it's still just another race at Bristol. It's going to be pretty tough out there, and hopefully we can get our car good enough in race trim to run up front throughout the race."

How was your car in tonight's race? "We had a good car -- we came from 18th and then a bolt fell out of the sway bar or broke. It was coming out so the handle on the car went away. It was hanging on, but it finally cut a right front tire at the end."

What was your first Bristol race like? "It was a long race -- that's for sure. We just started behind the eight ball. You start in the back, you work on your car, you start coming to the front and getting track position. The car wasn't that bad -- it was semi-decent, it was a top-five car I would say. Track position is huge and you have a car here and a car there. I don't know what happened in front of me -- they started checking up and I think someone got loose in front of Denny (Hamlin) and he checked up and I ran into the back of him. I had nowhere to go on that. It kind of sucks for the whole team because we were trying to get back up there and now we have nothing to show for it."

What happened that took you out of the race? "The 7 (Mike Wallace) and the 38 (Jason Leffler) were racing each other pretty hard. I don't know if the 7 (Mike Wallace) was on the lead lap or not, but those two guys had them jumping up off of four and I had no choice but to get into the 7 (Mike Wallace) and when I did somebody hit me from behind. It was a tough day, but I have to thank everyone at Dollar General and Toyota for giving me this opportunity. I sat this race out last year and it's good to be at least back this year."
