Stull looking for continued success in Indy   CLERMONT, Ind. - If you see NHRA Competition Eliminator driver Tina Stull walking around the pits with her Oakley sunglasses on, it may be for more reasons than the sunshine.  With the resent resigning of her primary sponsor Interstate Batteries, new major associate sponsor Parts Associates, Inc., and a fast hot rod from Freeman Motorsports to drive, the future looks very bright for Stull as she heads into this weekend's Mac Tools U.S. Nationals at Indianapolis Raceway Park, the biggest event in all of drag racing.   Stull, from Boerne, Texas, races in NHRA's Competition Eliminator category, which pits a variety of different vehicles together in 'classes' on a handicapped starting system.  Stull races a E/Super Modified Automatic 2004 Chevy Cavalier out of the Freeman Motorsports stable.  Stull enters this weekend on the heels of a strong outing last weekend in Topeka, Kan., where she qualified strong and won the first round, but lost a close race to heavy-hitter and horsepower mogul Todd Patterson.   "We had another good outing last weekend," said Stull.  "Working with Richard and the guys over here at Freeman Motorsports has been a dream.  I'm learning more and more every race and becoming more comfortable in the car.  The team is very confident they can put both cars in the late rounds this weekend.  We'd love to do that for my great sponsors Interstate Batteries, Parts Associates, Inc., Mac Tools, Supreme Lending and Travel Host Magazine.  We'd especially love to do it for Mac Tools since they sponsor the race.  This is the biggest race of them all, everyone brings their best.  We're certainly going to do our best as well."   In addition to striving for success on the track, Stull also works hard to help the Paralyzed Veterans of America achieve success off the track.  She has proudly displayed their logo on her car this year, and hopes the backdrop of the biggest race of them all will heighten her awareness efforts even more.   "If it wasn't for what these veterans of the PVA and countless other veterans have given up for their country, we wouldn't be able to enjoy the sport we love," explained Stull.  "The way I look at it it's the least I can do to help give back.  The PVA is a great organization that makes things possible for paralyzed vets that would be possible by ordinary means.  For example, who would think a skiing trip would be possible for someone who's paralyzed?  PVA makes things like that possible every day, and much more.  Hopefully we can continue to raise awareness about this great organization."   Qualifying begins on Thursday for competitors in Competition Eliminator and concludes on Saturday.  Eliminations begin on Sunday, and final eliminations will conclude the event on Monday.    -sr-
