Wilson named PR Manager for Larry Dixon

Kristen Wilson named new Public Relations Manager for NHRA Top Fuel Champion Larry Dixon and Miller Lite dragster.

VISTA, CA (March 27, 2003) - Kristen Wilson has been named Public Relations Manager for 2002 NHRA POWERade Top Fuel Champion Larry Dixon and Miller Lite Dragster, according to Don Prudhomme Racing Team Manager Skip Allum.

In her new position, Wilson will handle the daily management of all public and media relations efforts for Dixon. In addition to providing information to the motor sports media and working with team sponsors, she will also focus publicity efforts within the mainstream news media, as well as the rising genre of "extreme sports" media.

Wilson comes to Don Prudhomme Racing with a unique understanding of the news media as she has held positions both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. Most recently Wilson worked as a producer for Fox Sports Net's "Bluetorch TV," which provided programming on such extreme sports as surfing, skateboarding and motocross. She gained additional production knowledge while at ESPN's "Beg, Borrow and Deal," as well as on camera experience as a news anchor for NBC affiliate KTVH in Helena, Montana.
