The World Championship Manufacturers' Shootout, sponsored by auto components giant BorgWarner, is the most prestigious and lucrative in professional off-road truck racing for drivers, team owners and sponsors. Crandon is where the action is as high performance, high horsepower 4x4 trucks square off against 2-wheel drive pickups to determine who is the best, the fastest and the mythical "King of Off-Road Racing". The 10-lap Shootout race is in its eighth year at Crandon International Off-Road Raceway. Total available purse since the inception of the race is over $750,000. Highlights of special Awards for this very special Race are noted below:

BorgWarner sterling silver and 18K gold World Championship Manufacturers' Challenge Cup, awarded to the winning driver and manufacturer of the truck taking the checkered flag.....appraised at $100,000.00+

2002 BorgWarner World Championship Manufacturers' Shootout Championship purse paid to race winner.....$20,000.00 total with Miller Electric Spectrum Plasma Cutter.

2002 BorgWarner "Lead Lap Awards" presented to all drivers finishing on the lead lap of the race without a class podium finish.....$500.00 to each driver. Maximum awards total is $10,000.00

2002 BorgWarner sterling silver and 18K gold "King of Off-Road Racing" Championship Drivers trophy.....valued at $7,500.00

2002 Ford Trucks contingency purse paid to the winner if driving a Ford Truck into Crandon's Victory Circle.....$5,000.00 cash

2002 BorgWarner "Tough Two" Award presented to the first 2-wheel drive race truck crossing the finish line.....$5,000.00 cash

2002 Crandon Big Show at the Big House "Super S2" Award presented to Class 13/Sportsman 2 (S2) truck racers as follows: $1,300 to first Class 13/Sportsman 2 truck crossing the finish line. $900 to 2nd place Class 13/Sportsman 2 truck crossing the finish line. $600 to 3rd place Class 13/Sportsman 2 crossing the finish line. $500 to 4th place Class 13/Sportsman 2 crossing the finish line. To qualify for award, trucks must complete a minimum of four laps. Total purse.....$3,300 cash.

BorgWarner Lead Lap Award also eligible to S2 trucks only.

2002 Forest County Potawatomi "Blackjack Award" presented on behalf of Potawatomi Bingo Northern Lights Casino to the winning driver.....$2,100.00 cash

2002 Rancho Suspension "Rancho Jump Award" presented to any driver breaking the Rancho Jump record of 165.4 feet during the race.....$2,002 cash

2002 Toyota "Tough Tundra Bonus Award" contingency purse paid to the winner if driving a Toyota Tundra into Crandon's Victory Circle.....$2,000.00 cash.

2002 Parsons Chevy Trucks "Like a Rock Award" presented to the winner if driving a Chevrolet into Crandon's Victory Circle...$2,000 cash from Parsons Chevrolet of Antigo WI, and Parsons of Crandon.

2002 Crandon Big Show at the Big House 8th Annual BorgWarner Shootout Runner-Up Award presented to the overall race runner-up in either 4x4 or 2WD vehicle.....$2,000 cash

2002 Trail Master "Lap Master Award" presented to fastest qualifier and Shootout Pole Winner at the Trail Master Time Trials conducted Friday, August 30 beginning at 1:00 p.m......$2,000.00 cash

2002 Crandon Big Show at the Big House 8th Annual BorgWarner Shootout 3rd Place Award presented to the third place overall 4x4 or 2WD truck in the race.....$1,250.00 cash
