Huseman Rolls Off Start Line as Faster Qualifier before Suffering Endo Crash on Saturday / FABTECH Toyota Flies Big At Sunday's CORR Finale

Riverside, CALIFORNIA -- Arriving to the final race weekend of the 2007 CORR Lucas Oil Series, Rick Huseman prepared to pull out all the stops in his run for the checkered flag at the final weekend of Championship Off Road Racing's Lucas Oil Series. It was clearly apparent that Huseman was all business as he bested the entire field of CORR Pro 4's in Friday's qualifying with a blistering time of 54 seconds and 57 one-hundreths.

Posting the fastest lap time at the newly debuted Las Vegas International Raceway at Primm, Rick Huseman was all smiles throughout the pits on Friday afternoon. The familiar blue and yellow flamed Toyota Tundra was more than 3/10ths of a second faster than the nearest competitor. Huseman's racing lines were simply perfect as the veteran CORR racer put in valuable time on the race track, studying each of the turns and the rhythm sections time and time again.

Rick's hard work all paid off as he started from the pole position while chasing the all important point's championship.

In Saturday's Lucas Oil Series race, Huseman jolted from the pole position. He jumped to an early lead for several laps until sliding over the top of turn two after building up an incredible amount of speed while mashing the #36 through the massive bump section.

Rick's miscue caused him to lose valuable positions forcing him to run all out in order to have any chance at catching the leaders. Saturday's exciting comeback came to an abrupt end as the #36 FABTECH / Toyota / Toyo Tires Pro 4 crashed wildly after catching the front tube bumper in the dirt of the large rhythm section that flipped the race truck wildly several times in the air. SPEED TV Commentator Cameron Steele said, "That was the worst impact crash I've ever seen at a CORR race."

After a few tense seconds, Rick unlatched the window net and waved to the crowd motioning that he was okay.

Huseman commented, "That was a pretty wild crash. I'm okay and the truck has survived as well. My brothers and I will be working on this truck late into the night, but you can be sure that we'll be back racing all day tomorrow. Monster Energy will be energizing us all night tonight."

Rolling onto the dirt for Sunday's early morning practice, Rick Huseman ran solid fast laps later saying, "The crew has once again put the #36 FABTECH / Toyota Tundra back into the action. She feels real fast and is handling great."

Racing in the Jason Baldwin Memorial Cup race, the #36 jumped off the start line enroute to a 20th place finish that saw massive carnage between race trucks in the early laps. The race was marred by an incident that red flagged the race after only a few laps resulting in a long delay as the #36 made its way around the race track among the large field of race trucks.

Sunday was the final race day of the season for Rick Huseman Racing.

After working late into Saturday night preparing for Sunday's double duty and suffering through a difficult Cup race, Rick Huseman buckled into the driver's seat for the final Lucas Oil Series point's race of the season. Charging from the line, he rallied his race truck through ten laps of door-to-door racing, making several passes while setting his sights on Douglas and Greaves.

However, while within striking distance of the leader, Rick slid around turn three and while squeezing every ounce of horsepower out of the Toyota Tundra, he hit the high-banked concrete k-rail and became stuck on top with both front wheels perched over the top.

While stuck atop the k-rail, the field of the nation's top off road racers drove by. CORR track officials towed Huseman off the safety barrier, but it was a little late for the Riverside, California native to make up lost ground. The #36 FABTECH / Toyota / Toyo Tires Pro 4 finished in 7th position after a wild day of Sunday racing.

Finishing the season in sixth-place overall, Rick Huseman Racing is already making plans for what is expected to be an incredible 2008 CORR racing season.

Our entire team which includes our family, friends and sponsors all stepped it up all season long allowing us to compete at the highest level of off road racing.
