</pre> Race Report: 20 Johnsonville F4x4 trucks took the green flag in the first race ever for the new class on Saturday, June 22 at the Forest County Potawatomi Brush Run Races in Crandon. Veteran driver Jerry Bundy took first and claimed $1,050! Runnerup Randy Rundhaug took $660 for second place! In Sunday's action and Round 2 of four rounds of racing for the new class and Series, 19 trucks took the green flag. In a highly exciting race that came down to the last 200 yards, John McCrossan took the win and $1,023.75! Runnerup was Eric Ruppel ($643.50) while Randy Rundhaug was 3rd ($430.75)! Four F4x4's participated in the FCP Heavy Metal Governor's Cup Shootout. Rundhaug was the top finishing F4x4 and won $900 plus $100 gift certificate from Phil's, Inc. Rundhaug left Crandon with $2,090.75. Racers participated from six different States, plus Canada! A great turnout, one of the largest classes of the weekend and a great show for off-road race fans! A big thank you to Johnsonville Sausage and Phil's, Inc. for supporting the new class!
Next and final event of the season for the Johnsonville Sausage Formula 4x4 class trucks is again at Crandon Raceway, August 31-September 1, 2002 for the BorgWarner World Championship Off-Road Races.
