Las Vegas Racer Celebrates 20th Season Championships & 176 racing wins in his 28 year racing career!

Las Vegas, Nevada - Facing one of the most competitive racing fields in many seasons at the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, Rob MacCachren led his Rockstar Energy Racing team to an impressive victory Sunday afternoon clinching the 2010 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series season championship trophy.

Driving the #21 ROCKSTAR Energy/BFGoodrich Tires/Mastercraft Safety Unlimited Pro 2 to the checkers in first place earned the Las Vegas resident his 20th season championship title over his 28-year off road racing career.

MacCachren's Rockstar Energy Racing raced in both short course series this year culminating in many cross-country trips for the race hauler and team members supporting the multi-disciplined off road racer. Combined with a time consuming desert racing schedule, MacCachren race schedule has him in the seat of his MasterCraft Safety 3G office chair in more than 35 races this season.

"I spend a lot of time in the race trucks and I wouldn't want it any other way. We have a great crew and support team and that's the way I like it," said a smiling Rob MacCachren.

Winning and racing at the top level has naturally put a target on his back as the rank and file of Pro 2 racers sought to beat the hardcore racer. Coming into the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, MacCachren maintained a solid points lead over the competition. He told his team this was the weekend to clinch the season championship and they gave Rob a near perfect setup on his glossy black Ford F150 Pro 2 truck.

However, it wasn't without determination and hard work. The Rockstar Energy Racing crew unloaded the race truck with a fast setup and Rob qualified in the top spot for Saturday's Main Event.

As the green flag dropped on Saturday, it seemed that the magic MacCachren has had all season disappeared after heavy contact with several other trucks. By the end of Saturday's race, the #21 finished in the 5th position, a spot the team is not fond of. Rob led the team late into the night as they prepped for Sunday's race and they were prepared.

As the green flag waved on Sunday afternoon, MacCachren launched an attack like no other. The MacCachren Magic was back! After an incredible performance in the dirt and backed by BFGoodrich Tires, Rob MacCachren railed through the last turn of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway short course track earning the victory and his 20th season championship.

Rob commented, "We have surrounded this team with the best sponsors, the best crew and the best fans in the world. Together we ALL won this championship and I couldn't be any more proud of our team. They have stood behind us all season long and winning championships at this level is really a lot of fun. It's a tremendous amount of hard work and determination to win championships and we have once again succeeded in winning. We couldn't do this without our sponsors who have been behind us all season long and I'm glad we could clinch the championship before the last race of the season. This season championship is one of the best."

Sunday's victory marks Rob MacCachren's 8th Pro 2 victory this year in the Lucas Oil Off Road Series, as well as his 176th victory in all disciplines of off road racing over the last 28 years. After nearly three decades of off road racing, this year's season championship enumerates his 20th season championships. The 2010 season also highlights Rob's partnership with BFGoodrich Tires for the past 20 years.

Rob smiled and reflected, "Winning sure is nice and I have to tip my hat to our partners at BFGoodrich Tires. Together we have worked side-by-side developing products that win races and sell tires and this season's championship run is a testament to the hard work by the engineers at BFGoodrich Tires. We may have started off the season a bit slow, but we made up for it by earning the season points championship before the last race has even started. We've had a tremendous run this season with the #21 Rockstar/BFGoodrich/Mastercraft Pro 2 and we are looking forward to 2011."

Rob MacCachren switches gears this week as he begins to focus on the biggest desert race of season, the SCORE TECATE Baja 1000. MacCachren will race the #20 Trophy Truck among the elite SCORE Trophy Truck class beginning on Thursday, November 18, 2010. The 2010 Edition of the SCORE Baja 1000 starts in Ensenada, Baja California and finishes in La Paz, Baja California.
