Merwyn Lim (Hamizan Bin Abdul Hamid) finished second, now the lead Force Motors entry, only two points adrift of Virdi in the standings.
Eng Joo (co-driver Tan Choon Hong) dropped to third in the standings following a troubled SS9, although the Malaysian did manage to claw back some time by scoring a perfect 100 in SS12.
NIOC’s Bejinder Singh ( co-driver Gajender Singh) moved up to fourth in the table after topping the opening SS7, with Abinav Reddy Nukala (co-driver Laxmikanth Reddy Thota) moving into the top five.
The biggest gainer of the day was Kabir Waraich who jumped from 11th to sixth in the overall standings, with consistent results throughout the day’s six stages.
Elsewhere, RFC North and South edition winners Tejinder Singh and Jagat Nanjappa gained a few places to move up to 14th and 11th respectively.
The remaining drivers head to South Goa tomorrow for the six predator stages.
