2008 WSORR YEAR-END AWARD WINNERS

CRANDON, Wis. (October 12, 2008) - A bounty of awards and prizes were conferred on off-road racers winning championships and excelling during the 2008 Lucas Oil World Series of Off-Road Racing (WSORR) season. Listed below are award recipients at the recent 2008 WSORR "Night of Champions" banquet.

Key year-end cash awards were specially funded by WSORR contingency sponsors such as KC Hilites, MasterCraft Race Products and MSD Ignitions, among others.

Not listed were many notable individual achievements by off-road racers during the 2008 season. For example, Stephanie Krieman, Silverton,Ore., became the first female PRO Super Buggy racer to ever nab a podium spot with an historic second place finish during World Series Round IX action at Bark River Raceway in August.

Later that day, Rhonda Konitzer, Oconto Falls, Wis., matched the highest finish ever by a woman in a PRO event with a second place finish in the high performance PRO 2WD class.

Konitzer was the first woman in history to podium in a PRO class, a feat she performed last year. Konitzer followed her Bark River podium with another at the "Big House" of off-road racing in Crandon, Wis., a considerable accomplishment, against top PRO racers.
