Waldvogel Named the 2007 WSORR SRT Driver of the Year

November 14, 2007 (Fond du Lac, WI) - The WSORR (World Series of Off-Road Racing) held their inaugural awards banquet this past weekend at the KI Convention Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin. By nearly winning a championship in his first season in the Super Truck class, and clinching three wins, including the 2007 Super Truck World Championship race in Crandon, driver Dave Waldvogel was named the 2007 WSORR SRT Driver-of-the-Year. The Bendix® Brakes #282 piloted by Waldvogel consistently found its way to the podium and onto highlight reels all season long, and added excitement to every race. Dave was awarded this honor, to his surprise, early during award ceremonies on Saturday night. Taking the honors from the Pro ranks was Pro-Light Pickup driver Jeff Kincaid. More than four-hundred drivers, sponsors, crew and family members gathered to celebrate WSORR's inaugural season, and to crown the series champions for 2007. In addition to honoring the 2007 champions, the "Driver-of-the-Year" award is given out to one driver from the three Pro classes, and one from the five SRT (sportsman) classes. This award is given to the driver and team who made the biggest impact in the sport, and who exemplified the model of sportsmanship and success, perhaps in adverse situations.

Dave commented, "I am so proud of my entire team for all the hard work they put in over this past season. An award like this is a reflection of the entire team, including our sponsors and families. There are so many teams that I feel are worthy of this award, and I am flattered that we were chosen."

The 2008 schedule was announced during the ceremonies as well, and the Waldvogel Racing team has already begun off-season work to prepare for the first race in Wheatland, Missouri next May.
