The three-day event consisted of simulator sessions, psych-attitudinal, mental and physical training.

Among the drivers present was Fittipaldi, grandson of F1 champion Emerson. The 15-year-old Brazilian started his car racing career this year in the Ginetta Junior championship, where he finished 18th.

Italian duo Simone Cunati and Lorenzo Colombo were also tested, both of them taking podium finishes during their maiden Italian F4 campaigns this year.

The former took seventh overall despite missing the final round, while the latter was 12th.

New Zealander Marcus Armstrong spent the majority of 2016 competing in shifter karts as well as testing various single-seaters.

He made his European racing debut by taking part in one round of both Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 and FR2.0 NEC, taking a fourth place in the latter.

Finally, 14-year-old David Vidales, one of the main protagonists of the OK Junior class this year, also participated.

The Spaniard competed for Tony Kart this year and received the opportunity through the karting manufacturer's tie with the Ferrari Driver Academy.

His accolades this year include fourth place in the German Junior Kart and eighth in the CIK-FIA European championship.

The FDA currently has four driver among its ranks, with the trio of Charles Leclerc, Antonio Fuoco and Giuliano Alesi racing in GP3 and Guan Yu Zhou spending 2016 in European F3.

Leclerc and Fuoco are poised for a graduation to GP2 next season with Prema, while the Italian team is expected to field Zhou in Formula 3 next year.
