PR1 Announces 2008 Pacific F2000 Driver Line-Up

March 3, 2008 Fresno, California - Fresno based PR1 Motorsports announced their driver line-up for the Pacific F2000 Championship Series today. PR1 has expanded its Zetec program into a 4 car team this year. Their drivers will be Shaun Modisette, Nick Freytag, Max Hyatt, and Jeff Westphal.

2008 marks the fifth year the team has entered into the Pacific F2000 Championship Series. PR1 Motorsports has captured 3 championships in the Pacific Series and 2 others in the Eastern F2000 Championship. PR1 is looking to score another championship with the incredible list of drivers they have secured.

21 year old Shaun Modisette of Rancho Palos Verdes, California is the only returning driver from last year and coming into his 4th year in the series. Shaun will drive the # 26 Carson Trailer Van Diemen Ford this season. Modisette is looking to build on his past series experience to help the team capture a 6th championship.

2008 marks the second year in the Pacific F2000 Series for driver Nick Freytag. Freytag, 16 of Paradise Valley, Arizona finished 8th in the championship last year. He will run the # 9 G-Phactory / Sodi Racing Van Diemen for the team.

Jeff Westphal is also entering into his second year in the Pacific F2000 series The 21 year old from San Carlos, California is coming off of a 3rd place finish in the championship last year. He will contest the #39 Cacci Construction, TNT Demolition, Greg's Trucking Service Van Diemen Ford.

Max Hyatt, 21 of Sante Fe, New Mexico, will compete in his first full season in the championship after only running a partial race season in 2007, which included a win at the Cleveland Grand Prix in the East Coast based F2000 Championship Series. Hyatt will drive the # 22 PerformanceDrink Van Diemen Ford.

Team Manager, Lisa Oergel is very happy about this year's team. "I feel very confident in the drivers we have selected this year. All four drivers have a tremendous amount of talent. And we are looking forward to the first race."

This year PR1 Motorsports will also compete in the Rolex Grand-Am GT Series. This marks the first season the team will compete in Rolex Grand-Am Series in a select amount of events. Drivers Patrick Barrett, Mike Forest, Thomas Merrill and Alan Sciuto, will drive for the team in that series.
