The Formula Dodge Midwestern Regional Championship continues this weekend at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI. This is the second consecutive race weekend at the popular track. Forty-eight drivers, including points leader Tim Rose, will participate in rounds 5 and 6 of the series. Rose has 3 victories this season, one at Road America last time out. He maintains a one-point lead over Andre D’Cruze. D’Cruze is motivated to pass, having won three of his last four races. Grant Maiman and Rookie Curt Andrews are within 10 points of the leaders.
As in all Regional Championship events, the qualifying sessions will take place on Saturday morning to determine the grid for Race 1 in each group. The race results order determines the grid for Race 2 in each group on Sunday.
Road America configures this weekend as a 9-turn, 2.2 mile track. The popular short course is known for its elevation changes, right angle corners and long bends such as Kettle Bottoms, Hurry Downs and Carousel.
