As evidence that the Barber Dodge Pro Series continues to grow as a force in the North American open-wheel racing community, the 2000 schedule makes eight stops in conjunction with the CART FedEx Series, two stops with the American Le Mans Series and one with Grand American Road Racing.

Embarking on its 15th year, the Barber Dodge Pro Series continues to provide an unprecedented value to its drivers and sponsors as a premier professional open-wheel development series with $1 million in total prize money. In 1999, the Barber Dodge Pro Series raced before 1,070,000 people, a figure sure to be shattered in 2000. Coupled with a strong national and international television package on espn2 and ESPN International, more people will see the Barber Dodge Pro Series this year than ever before.

2000 also marks the Barber Dodge Pro Series first international foray with at least one round scheduled outside of the United States. The series will visit Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada when it races at the Concord Pacific Place Circuit in the heart of downtown Vancouver along with the CART Molson Indy.

Moreover, two of the stops on this year's Barber Dodge Pro Series schedule will be on CART oval weekends at Homestead and Nazareth further diversifying the exposure and experience of the Barber Dodge Pro Series drivers. The course at Homestead-Miami Speedway will be a modified oval to include a section of the infield road course.

A 12th event for the 2000 schedule is to be announced at a later date.
