Tony Renna On Provisional Pole WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (June 27, from Rick Roso) - In the first round of qualifying for the SCCA Pro Racing Barber Dodge Pro Series race at Watkins Glen International, Tony Renna took the provisional pole with a tiime of 1:15.363 at an average speed of 117.034 miles per hour. It is the second pole of the year for Renna, 20, of Deland, Fla. Norways Martin Stenshorne was second fastest, just one one-thousandth of a second ahead of Pella, Iowas Chris Menninga. The first 16 drivers are within one second of each other around Watkins Glens 2.45 miles. Derek Hill, winner of three of the past four races, is fourth, while points leader Rino Mastronardi had trouble with his rear suspension and sits ninth on the grid. Actors Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Alfonso Ribeiro qualified 18th and 25th, respectively. Final qualifying for round six is Saturday at 8:15 a.m.
