19 May, 2003 - Since graduating into the Ford Racing Australian Formula Ford Championship Adam Graham has admitted that competing in a Formula Ford is a completely new challenge, but one he is determined to conquer.

This weekend he continues to accept the challenge and soak in all of the new information that comes his way when the Championship heads to Winton Motor Raceway in northern Victoria.

With the circuit being the home track for the Borland Racing team 18-year-old Graham is aiming for his best result of the Championship thus far.

The multiple Australian karting Champion will be using all of his karting experience this weekend on the tight confines of the 3.0 kilometre circuit.

"Winton is a very tight track that I think will suit me well because I will be able to relate it more to my karting background than any other track we have been to this year," Graham says.

Just on two weeks ago the Graham completed a test day at the circuit. Unfortunately for the Super Cheap Auto supported driver the weather conditions were anything but kind with rain hampering testing throughout the day.

"The best thing I got out of the test day was the fact that I now feel comfortable in the car no matter what the conditions are," comments Graham.

"In a way it was probably better that we did get a wet session as I have only driven three times in the wet and they were all around Phillip Island while I was still learning the car and the track."

Last weekend Graham attended the opening round of the Ford KartStars series a part of the Top Gun Racing School assisting and passing his karting knowledge on to Jack Perkins, Justin Dwyer and Junior Blitz driver, Trent James.

Whilst in Coffs Harbour he also met with the staff at the local Super Cheap Auto store and spoke with the staff and customers about the Ford KartStars Series assisting him in his Motorsport career and his progression into the 2003 Australian Formula Ford Championship.

Graham will climb aboard his Super Cheap Auto supported Spectrum on Friday at Winton Motor Raceway for practice followed by qualifying and two 10-lap races at 4:30pm Saturday and 12:00pm Sunday for the third round of the Ford Racing Australian Formula Ford Championship.
