Mitsubishi Motors Sweden is the new sponsor for rising rally star Jennie- Lee Hermansson.
. It's fantastic! This is a big step forward for me, and will provide me with more opportunities, both in terms of the driving, but also in the search for more sponsors for the WRC rallies or PWRC.
. We are sure that we are supporting a driver who can achieve new successes for Mitsubishi, says PR and marketing manager Carina Carlsson for Mitsubishi Sweden.
Jennie-Lee was born in to the world of rallying. She competed in her first rally 1999. In 2004 she competed in the Brittish Rally Championship, her first year in 4wd. She ended the Championship 3rd in GpN 4wd.
- This is a dream come true for me! To be able to drive for Mitsubishi Sweden with a long term deal in the EVO 9 is fantastic. Also, to have this good an opportunity gives me good experience in working towards my goals! The PWRC would be the next step, and ultimately in the future - "the WRC", says Jennie-Lee.
Jennie-Lee has also got a good team to support her. Her mentor is Kenneth Eriksson, and her co-driver will be British Gemma Price.
And now it will also be a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO9 that will help her reach her goals. One of these is to finish within the top 3 in the Swedish Championship 2007.
- We will compete in the Swedish Championship and the Swedish Rally 2007. We are also working hard on finding funding for entering the PWRC in 2007, which would be fantastic, says Jennie-Lee.
Jennie-Lee is the only lady driver in the Swedish National Rally and Racing team.
- Jennie-Lee is one of our most serious sports women in Sweden. She is a symbol for natural talent and I'm sure she will succeed with whatever she wants, says Carina Carlsson.
