December 6, 2003 witnessed the staging of the 2003 JMMC/Petcom Rally of Jamaica. This two day rally has been the region's premiere motor sports event since its inception over 10 years ago.

Primarily a gravel rally, it takes place in the Bogwalk citrus groves and the mining roads of the old Lydford Bauxite plant.

This year, 40 cars started the rally with 13 guest teams from Barbados, Trinidad, St. Vincent, and Sweden. The event was won by Douglas Gore of Jamaica, with Roger Skeete (Barbados) in second place.

The Rally of Jamaica is the hot seat of an intense rivalry between the Jamaican and Barbadian teams. Visit www.rallyjamaica.com for results and photos.
