Rally4Life founders take the gift of clean water to Kenyan school children

Kelowna, BC, Canada - Sep 16, 2010 - Since their inception, the Canadian Rally Team and adventurer's, Rally4Life have made the point that their objective was to bring awareness to the more than 1.5 billion people in the world who don't have access to adequate water.

In October, the projects founders, Mark and Jackie Jennings-Bates will be traveling to northern Kenya to partner with UK Charity Just A Drop to assist with a project at Westgate School in the Samburu Region in the shadows of Mount Kenya.

Donor's have been keen to support the project and Jackie Jennings-Bates the Rally4Life Foundation Chairperson echoes their sentiments... "Nearly all of our supporters, corporate and individual, want to know that they can make a difference. The scale of this problem seems so large that many people don't believe that they can have a positive impact, but the truth is, every donation, small or large makes a significant contribution to someone's life."

The Foundation which was started in 2009 set out with the objective of saving 200,000 lives through the provision of sanitised water to populations around the globe struggling to survive because of water bourne disease or complete lack of water.

The whole project is far from finite as Mark Jennings-Bates points out "We had no idea that the name Rally4Life had as much relevance in our lives. We have evolved the project to a point where we cannot possibly stop after helping the first 200,000 people" adding "How can you walk away from the rest? Jackie, myself and our team of volunteers who have supported us have crossed the bridge of making sure this project continues to help people around the world who are not able to help themselves."

The Foundation is exploring the possibility of partnering with a micro-finance organisation in 2011. "It makes sense when you understand the problem, by providing water, we free up people's time and allow an economy to commence with the provision of time, and goods that can be reared or grown, for personal consumption or trade. We feel that the communities we help will need access to capital and knowledge to assist with the transition" said Jackie Jennings-Bates.

Donors or corporations looking to partner with Rally4Life can visit the organisations website at www.Rally4Life.org or contact them on email at info@rally4life.org. In the winter, Mark and Jackie will be initiating a speaking tour based on the project and their future endeavours. The Rally4Life Foundation is a Canadian based society that is focused on alleviating thirst around the world. They bring focus and attention to their projects through various adventures and races and with publicity provided by a TV series to be aired in the future called "The Race 4 Life"

The Society is supported by Helios Global Tracking, Doak Shirreff, Wishbone Industries, Aerius Engineering, BCResortHomes.com, One4Yachts, GioBean and Wildcats Safaris
