A timing device failure at the Stage Start of yesterday's TS11 (Winnaleah) has resulted in multiple inconsistencies in the scores for the stage, changing the order of the day after Leg Two of the 15th Anniversary Targa Tasmania rally.

After exhaustive data validation it has been deemed that the correct scores are irretrievable and the scores for the stage, the third run yesterday, will not be used in the results for Targa Tasmania 2006.

In other news, lengthy overnight work on defending Targa champion Jason White's Lamborghini Gallardo has put his 2006 campaign back on track.

Work on the clutch in the $400,000 Gallardo continued into the early hours of the morning and White says he is looking forward to today's third leg to continue what he started at last year's event. White now sits in eighth position.
