"America's biggest, toughest, richest rally"

Laughlin, NV- American Rally Sport Group (ARSG) announces December 10-14, 2003 calendar date for their three-day Ramada Express Hotel-Casino International Rally 2003 headquartered in Laughlin, Nevada, USA. Considered America's premier endurance motorsport rally, the Ramada Express International Rally has earned positive worldwide recognition since its inception in 1998. Rally competitors traverse winding forest and mountain roads within the western Grand Canyon in Arizona, in the Land of the Hualapai Indians. Its dynamic Sunday SuperStagea dual-action dirt course is held at the Laughlin Special Events Arena, bringing exciting rally action direct to the public.

The Ramada Express Hotel-Casino International Rally 2003, is sanctioned by United States Automobile Club (USAC). The event follows the organization and procedures of the FIA, moving toward World Rally Championship event standards. International Cherokee Trails Rally in Tennessee and the Wild West Rally in Washington join with the Ramada Express International Rally as the three U.S. rallies on the new 7-event FIA-North American Rally Series calendar with Canada and Mexico.

"December's changing weather is always challenging," comments ARSG president, Roger Allison. "Depending on the day, rallyists may have clear sunny days or endure violent dusty winds or thunder and lightning storms, but the rally teams and service crews put in tremendous "can do" efforts. Extreme weather conditions seriously impacted our first event in 1998, when a blizzard suddenly blew into the area, covering both the desert and Grand Canyon roads with six inches of snow and ice. Our past five rallies have seen remarkable all-weather competition by each and every international and American competitor."

Ray Hocker, ARSG vice president says, "At one time we thought to change our December date. But we find ourselves in the unique position of having the final endurance rally event in the world. Because of this, international interest and participation is always strong. Our event brings out the best rallyists in the United States against some of the finest teams from Europe, Japan and North America. With the beginning of the FIA-North American Rally Series and championship in 2003, I think our event will prove to be one of America's most popular."
