KINETIC SPEED SHOP REPEATS AT CAROLINA MOTORSPORTS PARK

Buford, Ga. - Kinetic Speed Shop competed in the annual Carolinas Region PCA Club Race this weekend repeating the stellar results that were achieved last year by Kinetic client Gary Pennington who took the win in a Kinetic Porsche 996. This time Kinetic Speed Shop was armed with clients Chris Brown, Jorge Demacedo, Daniel Eastman, Derek Skea, Kevin Violette and Lee Davis. Each client has an impressive racing resume leaving the weekend open to great competition and excitement.

Kinetic clients took part in three practices before heading out on Saturday for the last warmup session before qualifying the same day. Brown took the first spot in his GT3 Cup car with a time of 1:39.580. Skea and Davis helped round out the top-10 finishing in the 7th and 8thpositions respectively. Violette crossed the line in the top-20 finishing 18th. Demacedo and Eastman who were piloting Demacedo's Global Money Remittance Porsche elected not to go out as the weather was threatening with cold temperatures.

With a solid warmup complete, Kinetic Speed Shop prepared all of the cars for qualifying on the 2.3 mile road course. Brown produced another excellent time of 1:39.075, good enough for the second position. Skea again crossed the finish line in the top-10 posting a time of 1:41.293 putting him in the 9th spot. Davis and Demacedo enjoyed a friendly battle for position with Davis edging out Demacedo for the 15th spot. Violette qualified just seconds behind in the 22nd position.

Kinetic clients were in solid position to perform well in the Sprint race on Saturday with the weather cooperating with cool temperatures and sunny conditions. Brown drove like a professional taking the checkered flag and the win over nine seconds before his closest competitor. This marks the second year in a row that Kinetic has won overall in this event. Davis and Demacedo again enjoyed some hard racing helping to round out the top-10 as they finished in the 6th and 7th places respectively. Violette encountered a plug wire issue causing him to finish in the 25th spot with fellow Kinetic teammate Skea finishing just behind in the 26th position after suffering a transmission issue.

Racers returned on Sunday for the longer Enduro event at CMP with Kinetic entrants Brown, Demacedo and Eastman poised for great results. Throughout the 90 minute race, Brown and the team of Demacedo and Eastman fought hard for positions both making it into the top-five. However, Brown suffered a broken exhaust tip forcing him into the pits for a required five minute stop. The Kinetic Crew repaired the car sending Brown back out into the mix for the remainder of the race. He would finish in 4th place. It looked as if the No. 006 Global Money Remittance car was in line for a shot at overall victory when problems occurred on the last lap when the No. 107 Porsche of Gregory Brown collided with the No. 006 resulting in a 6th place finish for Demacedo and Eastman.
