Porsche Club contenders at Autosport Show
The first of two identical Porsche 968 Club Sports' being prepared by Team GVR for this seasons' Michelin Porsche Club Championship was on display at the Autosport International Show this weekend [8-11 January 2004].
Team drivers will be Chris Egginton, who has formerly competed in European GT and Porsche Cup Championships and Peter Morris, who is moving into Porsche Club after competing successfully in the Porsche Open and Porsche Speed Championships.
"The car looks wonderful" said Peter Morris, "This is the first time I've seen it finished, it's just a shame it's not going to stay this pretty after a seasons racing!
"The 968's got to be the one for 2004. It's got lovely balance and I'm sure it'll be the one to beat" adds Morris.
Chris Egginton comments: "I believe the 968CS has the potential to go quicker than it has in 2003. With Team GVR's chassis development and plenty of testing, we'll show the 911's how it should be done!
"Personally I'm really looking forward to some good close racing, after being out for around 18 months it'll be great to complete a full seasons' racing and develop the potential in the 968CS".
