St. Clair, Mich. - Control Concepts Corp., based in Beaver, Pennsylvania has signed on to sponsor the Cinjo Racing team in the next two SCCA Pro Racing Trans-Am Series for the BF Goodrich Cup events.

The Cinjo Racing Viper will be entered as the number 36 Control Concepts Dodge Viper at Laguna Seca this weekend and at the series finale in Houston.

"A year ago we were contacted by Joe and at that time we were not quite ready to get involved. We have grown dynamically over the past 10+ years and are always looking for unique ways to market and promote our business. Cinjo is also a growing team in the Trans-Am series so it was a natural match. The popularity of racing was a draw for us. It appears that the market racing is reaching also reaches our customers. The excitement of racing carries over to the sponsor and its customers. Cinjo racing is an up and coming team and we hope that the joining of our two brands can be of mutual benefit going forward," said Geoffrey Taylor, president, Control Concepts Corp.

"It is great to have Control Concepts come on board for Laguna and Houston. This will give the employees and customers a taste of Trans-Am racing and the Cinjo effort. It is nice to see the resolve and results of the team be recognized," said Joe Tranchida, owner Cinjo Racing.

Control Concepts Corp. has provided product excellence in industrial control applications since 1976. The Company is a vertically integrated manufacturer and presently produces a full line of heavy duty industrial pilot devices (push buttons, selector switches, pilot lights, terminal blocks, and disconnect switches) for both the ordinary and hazardous location markets. The Company primarily markets to Original Equipment Manufacturers and the Petro-Chemical industry.

"Joe has been running the team out of his back pocket since the beginning a year ago. We have had a good first year so far and it is nice for the team to be getting the recognition in the form of sponsorship from Control Concepts," said Tommy Archer, driver of the #36 Control Concepts Dodge Viper.

The Trans-Am race from Laguna Seca will be televised live on Speedvision starting at 4:50 p.m. EDT on Saturday, September 8.
