</pre> Round five of the Trans-Am Series for the BFGoodrich Tires Cup, the Trans-Am Series 100 presented by Simple Green, will be held on June 30 at Burke Lakefront Airport in Cleveland. This weekend's race will be the 396th in the Trans-Am Series illustrious 36-year history. The Trans-Am Series will be making its 11th appearance as part of the Marconi Grand Prix of Cleveland presented by Firestar.

Television: Saturday's race will be televised on a taped-delay basis by CBS Sports on July 1 at 3:30. Ralph Sheheen and Bill Adam will serve as commentators.

Race Length: 47 laps of the 10-turn, 2.106 mile airport circuit for 98.982 miles.

Television: The Trans-Am Series 100 presented by Simple Green will be the second of three Trans-Am Series for the BFGoodrich Tires Cup races to be broadcast by CBS Sports. This Saturday's race will be broadcast on a one-day taped delay basis on July 1 at 5:00 (EDT). The upcoming Trans-Am Series race, the Wine Country 100, will be broadcast live by CBS on July 21 from Sears Point Raceway.

Don't Miss The Finish: All four of the 2001 Trans-Am Series for the BFGoodrich Tires races have featured a less than one second victory margin. With the 0.921-second margin at Detroit, the Trans-Am Series has had 68 finishes All-Time of less than one second.

Gentilozzi's Victory Achieves Milestones: Paul Gentilozzi's victory in the Motor City 100 presented by Johnson Controls was the 21st of his career. He is now tied for third on the All-Time list with Bob Tullius. With the win, he is now the All-Time leader in Top-10 finishes with 108.

Jaguar Dominates Top-Five At Detroit: When the Motor City 100 presented by Johnson Controls was completed on June 16, four of the top five finishers were driving Jaguar XKR's. Paul Gentilozzi (1st), Johnny Miller (3rd), Tomy Drissi (4th) and Michael Lewis (5th) were joined by Brian Simo (Qvale Mangusta) in second as the only non-Jaguar in the top-five.

Jaguar Posts 2002 X-TYPE Sport Sedan As Prize: Jaguar announced at the Tenneco Automotive Grand Prix of Detroit that it has posted a 2002 X-TYPE sport sedan as a contingency for the 2001 season. The pole winners from all 11 Trans-Am Series events will each be given a key that will potentially start a new 2002 Jaguar X-TYPE sport sedan. The owner of the "lucky key" (as determined during an awards ceremony following qualifying at the Trans-Am Series season finale in Houston) will win the X-TYPE. The Jaguar drivers in the Trans-Am Series will be automatically eligible to win the X-TYPE, and, as a further reward, anyone winning a pole position in an XKR will receive a check for $2,500

Miller Takes Continues To Hold Points Lead: Johnny Miller (#64 Automationdirect EATON Cutler Hammer Jaguar XKR) continues to hold the lead in the race for the BFGoodrich Tires Cup. Miller carries a narrow two-point margin over teammate Paul Gentilozzi. Long Beach winner Lou Gigliotti (#28 LG Motorsports G2 Performance Chevrolet Corvette) is third with defending BFGoodrich Tires Cup champion Brian Simo (#88 Tommy Bahama Qvale Mangusta) fourth. Justin Bell (#40 Justin Bell Motorsports Experience Chevrolet Corvette) holds a commanding 36-point lead, 69 to 33, over Paul Fix (#77 Classic Tube Ford Mustang) in the race for the AmeriSuites Rookie of the Year Award.

Gentilozzi Picks Up Simple Green Clean-Up Award: With his dominating victory at the Motor City 100 presented by Johnson Controls, Paul Gentilozzi earned a $10,000 bonus by winning the Simple Green Clean-Up Award. The award is given to the Trans-Am Series driver who qualifies on the pole, leads the most race laps, has the fastest race lap and wins the race. Gentilozzi became the first Trans-Am Series driver to Clean-Up this year. This weekend' s race, the Trans-Am Series 100 presented by Simple Green, will carry a $2,500 bonus to a driver Cleans-Up.

Leader In Points Standings After Cleveland To Earn $10,000 Cash Bonus: The leader of the Drivers' Championship following the Trans-Am Series 100 presented by Simple Green will earn a $10,000 cash bonus from High Tech Performance Trailers. The top-four in the Drivers' Championship, Johnny Miller, Paul Gentilozzi, Lou Gigliotti and Brian Simo are separated by just 10 points. High Tech Performance Trailers is also the presenting sponsor of the BFGoodrich Tires Cup Owners' Championship and will award $50,000 in product certificates to the top-three finishing teams in 2001, with the winning team owner claiming $25,000.

Chevrolet Corvette and Ford Mustang Looking for Milestone Victories: With Lou Gigliotti's victory at Long Beach on April 8, Chevrolet Corvette picked up its 49th win in Trans-Am Series competition. Corvette ranks third among nameplates behind Ford's Mustang and Chevrolet's Camaro.

Ford Mustang currently leads the Trans-Am Series with 99 wins. The most recent win by a Ford Mustang was by Boris Said in the 2001 season-opener at Sebring, Fla.

Prize Money: With potentially more than $2.0 million in total season-long payout, the 2001 season will be the richest in the series illustrious 36-year history. This weekend's race is the third round in the run for the prestigious BFGoodrich Tires Cup, given annually to the winner of the Drivers' Championship. Beginning this season, the winner of the Drivers' Championship will pocket $100,000 with a total year-end points fund payout of $300,000.
