9 May 2003: The Washington DC Region of the Sports Car Club of America is happy to announce that Hella, Inc, a provider of world-class of innovative products and systems in lighting technology and electronics for motor vehicles, has joined the contingency program for the 5th Annual Kumho Tires 12 Hours at the Point. The May 30-31, 2003 event held at Summit Point Raceway in Summit Point, West Virginia is the longest perennially held amateur endurance race for sports cars and sedans and ranks with better-known endurance races such as The 24 Hours of Daytona, The 12 Hours of Sebring and Le Petit Le Mans. The final hours of the race, and for many fans, the most enjoyable hours, are run in the deep darkness of the Summit Point night.

"Hella USA is proud to be part of the premier amateur endurance race in the U.S.," said John Remakis, Marketing Manager. Remakis added, "Hella USA has a long racing tradition and our lights burned through the night for the winners of this year's Rolex 24, the 2002 SCCA ProRally Champions and the 2002 Le Mans-winning Audi." Details of the contingency program are available at www.12hoursatthepoint.org.

The May 30-31, 2003 Kumho Tires 12 Hours at the Point will be held rain or shine and is open to spectators. Free camping is included as is open access to all viewing areas, the paddock and grandstands. For ticket and other spectator information, see www.12hoursatthepoint.org
