"ArmsUp Motorsports Kicks off season with Second Place Run"

SOUTH BELOIT, Ill. -- ArmsUp Motorsports started off their racing season with a second place finish at Blackhawk Farms this weekend with long time team driver Jim Victor behind the wheel. This was the first race for ArmsUp this year after a one day test at Blackhawk a week earlier to shake down the team's fleet of Formula Continental racecars.

Victor was quick all day putting his Van Diemen second on the grid in qualifying. After consulting with the team after the session, the team made a few changes to improve the car for the final. In the race Victor ran a consistent race to come home in second place to last years National Champion.

"It was a pretty good weekend," commented ArmsUp Motorsports owner Gregg Borland. "Jim ran consistent all day and the car performed well. So we are really looking forward to the national next weekend where we will have Jim along with Kirk Kindsfater and Brian Shepard driving in Formula Continental."

ArmsUp Motorsports will be back at the Blackhawk Farms track April, 28th for the Blackhawk Valley region April National.
