"ArmsUp Motorsports Takes second Podium of the Year at Gateway"

EAST ST. LOUIS, Missouri -- ArmsUp Motorsports driver Jim Victor took his first national podium of the season last weekend at the SCCA Gateway National at the Gateway International Speedway. In what was an exciting race, the ArmsUp Motorsports driver lost the victory by just two feet at the line.

In qualifying Jim Victor put his car second on the grid. On the start Victor fell back to third after avoiding a spinning car. After retaking second five laps into the race Jim set his sights on the leader. The Smith Barney backed driver consistently ran down the leader and was in striking distance on the last lap. Coming to the line Victor was within two feet from taking the victory but he would have to settle for second scoring his second podium finish of the year.

ArmsUp Motorsports driver Kirk Kindsfater also attended the event but was taken out of competition earlier in the weekend. After turning very competitive laps in an early practice session, Kindsfater had contact with a spinning car that damaged his Van Diemen to much to be repaired at the circuit.

The ArmsUp Motorsports team will return to competition this weekend for its third national in as many weeks at the Good Times National in Gratton, Michigan.
