Cole Bosanoz has announced he will be participating in his first SCCA Club races with One Formula Racing. Cole will be taking to the 4.0 Mile Road America circuit May 29-31 for the Susie Bonneau Memorial Double Regional in preparation for this year's June Sprints. Cole will once again be teamed with One Formula Racing driving the Temco/Global backed Formula Enterprises machine for the Scales Mound, IL. outfit.
Cole spent 2008 working on a development deal with the team. Bosanoz tested twice at the Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, IL. At the time of the tests Cole was more than half a second under the official track record for the class. Cole spent the remainder of the year doing data acquisition for several drivers out of the One Formula stable.
Although it will be Cole's first race with the team, he will be balancing his driving duties doing data acquisition for the team as well. The Nationally top-10 ranked karting driver had this to say about the opportunity, "This is a great chance for me to run with a top-tier team such as One Formula Racing. I completely have to thank my sponsors Temco Machinery, Global Emergency Products and Krahl Construction for making this dream a reality. These races will serve as another chance to get some ever important seat-time in these cars and give me time in race situations before the June Sprints next month."
Cole Bosanoz comes from an SCCA family with over 30 years of participation in the club. Cole has spent 10 years building his racing career through the advent of his participation in kart racing. With countless race wins in karting and multiple championships he has begun his climb up the motorsports ladder. Cole is supported by his extensive network of sponsors including; Krahl Construction, Temco Machinery, Global Emergency Products, The Motorsport Collector, Sideline Sports Photography, Razor Image, Impact Race Products and Signatures of Chicago.
What is Formula Enterprises?
The Formula Enterprise car, with its raised nose, high side pods and multi-
plane wings has a look not unlike the current iterations of Formula One and
IndyCars. The cars have sealed engines, spec transmissions, shocks, tires
and brakes, the formula puts an emphasis on driving ability, cost
containment, preparation and equality. The class is bar-none the fastest
growing class for road racing in the SCCA. With speeds of over 140 mph the
car is most definitely a true racing machine.
