GOODYEAR-SHOD CARS WIN EIGHT TIMES IN SCCA SEBRING RACE

SEBRING, Fla. (Jan. 7, 2007) -- Eight drivers raced to victory on Goodyear tires in the Sports Car Club of America's national points event at Sebring International Raceway. The event was the first of the 2007 season.

Goodyear's wins came from across the tire spectrum: Bias-ply racing, radial racing and DOT radials. Goodyear-equipped teams won in two open-wheel formula classes, a sports racer class, two Grand Touring classes, a Production class and a Sedan class.

The event was held on the same 3.7-mile, 17-turn Sebring course that hosts the famed 12-Hours of Sebring race.

Chris Fahan won in Formula Continental and James Goughary Jr. was the Formula Mazda winner and Dorian Foyil was the D Sports Racer winner. The three raced on bias-ply Goodyear racing tires.

Jeff Emery won the GT1 race on a set of Goodyear radial race tires and Mark Ward won the GT Lite race on Goodyear bias-ply slicks. Don Ahrens used a set of Goodyear bias-ply tires to win the E Production class and Mike Lavigne won the American Sedan race using DOT radial tires made by Goodyear.

Brian Schofield won the Spec Racer Ford race, besting a field of 70 cars.
