Mishael Abbott to Drive Her Formula Mazda at June Sprints
INDIANAPOLIS (June 21, 2006) -- Mishael Abbott of Coral Springs, FL will be competing in her Formula Mazda this weekend in the Kohler® / Sports Car Club of America Chicago Region June Sprints® at Road America, Elkhart Lake, WI.
"I am really excited about running in the June Sprints this year. It will be the first time that I'm driving my own race car there," said Mishael Abbott. "I love the race track at Road America and the atmosphere is great! I've been excited for a couple months now, ever since I confirmed I'd be driving at the 'Sprints' on my birthday weekend."
The June Sprints is the first leg of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Triple Crown. Open practice begins on Thursday with the Formula Mazda race on Sunday afternoon, June 25.
Mishael has been driving for Michael Crawford Motorsports as the only female in the Indy Racing League® Indy Pro Seriesa, competing in three events this season.
