SHEBOYGAN FALLS, Wis. -- The 2009 SCCA Central Division Championship has come to a close with Revere Greist claiming the Formula Continental class Championship. The title was both Griest's and ArmsUp Motorsports first SCCA point's championship in the Formula Continental division. Greist claimed the title on the strength of two victories and three podium appearances scoring more Formula Continental national points of any other driver nationwide in the process.

"This championship was total team effort," Greist said from his Madison Wisconsin office. "We worked really hard over the off-season to improve the car. Out of the gate we had much more consistent package and we were able to continue the improvement during the season. It was great to win the title but it was just as gratifying to see the whole team improve throughout the season as well. I want to thank Gregg and the whole ArmsUp Motorsports team for a great year and I can't wait to see what we can do in the Runoffs."

ArmsUp Motorsports team owner Gregg Borland echoed his driver's comments, "It was great to get our first Cen Div Championship. We worked really hard during the off-season and had a much stronger car from the outset this year. I have to thank Revere for doing such a strong job behind the wheel. He was so consistent this year and that is the only way you win this championship against such a strong field of drivers and cars."

ArmsUp Motorsports will now turn their attention to claiming the ultimate Club Racing prize, the SCCA National Championship crown. For the first time in the events history it will be held at the famed Road America. ArmsUp Motorsports will enter six cars in this year's fall classic, five in the FC category and one in Formula Atlantic.

Revere Greist will make his first Runoff's appearance and is looking to carry the momentum of his solid 2009 season into the event. Joining the Cen Div champion will be Kirk Kindsfater, Jim Victor, Pat McGinnis and Joe Tovo. Kindsfater has two runoff starts with a best finish fourth in 2007. With three Runoffs starts to his name Jim Victor is the teams most experienced Runoffs driver and will strive to improve on his best finish of 11th. Pat McGinnis and Joe Tovo will both be making their first starts in the FC class. McGinnis has been making steady improvement all year and looks to continue that form for the Runoffs. For Tovo the Runoffs will be his second start with the ArmsUp squad. This Illinois driver has been settling in nicely during September testing and hopes for a strong Runoffs showing.

Making his first SCCA National Championship start will be Jose Paredes in the FA category. The Chicago native has been consistent this year and a top-ten result is not out of the cards.

The ArmsUp team will race two different days with Formula Atlantic going green Friday September 25 at 4:30pm and FC rolling off the grid Saturday, September 26 at 3:30pm. Check back with ArmsUpMotorsports.com for a mid week qualifying update.
