Puyallup, Washington... NayKid Racing is bringing in some top sponsors to support their racing efforts in 2003. With the first race of the season only two weeks away, NayKid is excited to announce Kumho Tire, Ohlins USA and Nike joining their racing endeavor. Kumho Tire, who has been a supporter for many years of team owner/driver Scotty B. White, stepped up to the plate with a two-year deal. White was the first driver to win a professional race in the C5 Corvette in World Challenge, circa 1999.

The full marketing partner line-up for NayKid Racing's SCCA Corvette Z06 T1 (Touring 1) class effort in 2003 is Kumho Tire, Ohlins USA and Red Line Oil. Nike, pleased with the efforts of Cindi Lux in the development of their racing shoes in the ALMS series, has decided to come on board with the NayKid team. The third driver is Rick Gilhart, an SCCA World Challenge driver.

"I'm really jazzed about my relationship with Kumho for next year," said Scotty B. White. "We're jacked up about showcasing the V700 Ecsta to help them sell more tires. It's fun to have Cindi on board with Nike and all she brings. Additionally, it will be great working with Ohlins as a development team and with Red Line Oil in our hot rods we have no worries!"

"We are very happy to have Scotty B. and his NayKid Racing team with us for another two years," said Rudy Consolacion, Motorsports Director for Kumho Tire Corporation. "The team has been an instrumental part of our marketing program in motorsports since 1996. It will be exciting to see this three-car team with Scotty B., Cindi and Rick making a championship run on the new Kumho Ecsta V700 in the SCCA T1 class."

"Ohlins USA is pleased to be involved with the entire NayKid Racing effort for 2003," said Jeff Reid, Automotive Division Manager for Ohlins USA, Inc. "This will help give us a big visibility boost in the SCCA, which we see as an important future market for our products. The fact that they are racing a Corvette lines up perfectly with our future plans." Ohlins USA is the North American branch of the Swedish shock absorber manufacturer, Ohlins Racing AB.

"As a driver, you are always looking for new driving challenges, so when this opportunity with NayKid Racing presented itself, I immediately grabbed it," said Lux. " Anytime you can work with Kumho Tires, Nike and Ohlins, you have the elements of a fantastic team. The entire Naykid team rocks and I am really excited about working with them and my two new teammates, Scotty B. and Rick."
