Phoenix Race Cars, Inc. Announce Name Change For DSR & CSR Sports Racers; New Logos

Phoenix DSR-1 & CSR-1 name to replace the Maloy brand name

PHOENIX, AZ (October 23, 2005) --- Phoenix Race Cars, Inc. announced today that the Maloy name that has been used by the company for their D & C -- Sports Racers will now be replaced with "PHOENIX". The chassis names, however, will remain DSR-1 and CSR-1. New logos and signage have also been released to reflect this change.

"We needed to do something that informed potential customers of the substantial changes that have been made to our cars up to this point," said Matt Conrad, General Manger of Phoenix Race Cars, Inc. "Even though the carbon fiber skin of the car may still look the same, the changes underneath are numerous."

Some of these updates include a fully redesigned under-tray that has improved down-force while limiting drag. A considerable amount of time went into re-engineering the hubs and axle assemblies as well as lightening and improving suspension components on the car. The DSR-1 and CSR-1 now features a re-engineered chassis that allows larger engine packages to fit while allowing for easier servicing and maintenance.

"The name change is really symbolic of the changes we are making as a company to an already great car," said Conrad. "We hope to be able to showcase a car that is a quality piece and very competitive while giving the customer value, something that many of the other manufacturers are not able to provide."
