All Star Sprints invade Attica Raceway Park April 19-20.

ATTICA, OH - The All Star Circuit of Champions sprint cars, along with the Interstate Racing Association (IRA) Sprints, are set to invade Attica Raceway Park Friday and Saturday night April 19-20. The two-day Attica Coors Nationals will pay $3,000 to win Friday and $7,000 to win on Saturday night.

Current points leader Kenny Jacobs leads the way for the first of six Attica visits of the season by the All Stars. Other top All Star drivers expected include Chad Kemenah, Dean Jacobs, Rodney Duncan, Danny Smith, Phil Gressman, Kevin Frey, Mike Wagner, Leonard Lee, Bill Rose, Greg Wilson, Paul McMahan, Kelly Kinser, Barry Ruble, Bruce Robenalt, Jeff Shepard, Todd Kane, Butch Schroeder and Byron Reed.

Attica has always proved as one of the most competitive race tracks on the All Star tour. Since the series first visited Attica on September 4, 1989, 59 events have been run with 28 different race winners. Last season there were four different winners in five shows there. The prior Attica winners include Bobby Allen, Dale Blaney (4), Dave Blaney, Rob Chaney, Craig Dollansky, Dean Jacobs, Kenny Jacobs (4), Keith Kauffman, Mark Keegan (4), Chad Kemenah, Frankie Kerr (8), Kelly Kinser (2), Mark Kinser, Randy Kinser, Steve Kinser, Terry McCarl, Byron Reed (2), Joey Saldana (4), Butch Schroeder (2), Jeff Shepard (5), Terry Shepherd, Steve Siegel (2), Danny Smith (2), Sammy Swindell (3), Bob Teeple, Tyler Walker and Gary Wright (2).

The All Stars also visit Attica on June 14, June 30, Aug. 31 and Sept. 1. Support divisions for the Coors Nationals include the 305 sprints Friday and limited late models Saturday. For more information, call Attica Raceway Park on race day at (419) 426-8911.
