ATTICA, OH -- Chad Kemenah became the first repeat winner of the season Friday night at Attica Raceway Park in the Haulmark All Star sprint car 40 lap A main feature. He took over the lead when John Ivy dropped by the wayside and led the rest of the distance to add to his series' points lead. The win came in the familiar Harble Motorsports Kistler-powered Eagle Chassis.

"I told the guys at the garage last week it's time we started winning a bunch of these races," a happy Kemenah said in victory lane. He then wished his crew chief and brother Brian Kemenah a happy birthday.

Dean Jacobs and John Ivy started from the front row of the feature, with Ivy cruising easily ahead of the pack with Kemenah running second after starting fourth. When Jeremy Campbell stopped with mechanical problems on lap 12, Ivy went pitside with a flat. As the crew tried to get Ivy back on the track, Kemenah inherited the lead when Ivy failed to restart. Kemenah rocketed out to a big lead over Jacobs, with Mike Linder taking third from Dale Blaney on lap 16. They ran in those positions until a red flew on lap 21 for a Ryan Coniam flip. Coniam was able to replace the top wing and return to the event.

Kemenah led when the green came back out, followed by Jacobs, Linder, Blaney, Rob Chaney and Greg Wilson. From that point on, it was Kemenah's mastery of dense lapped traffic that was the key to the win.

Blaney got past Linder on lap 32 and ran second the rest of the race. A lap 32 yellow gave Blaney his only shot at the leader, but Kemenah was too strong on the restart for Blaney to make a move for the lead. Jacobs ran third until two laps were remaining when Kinser moved under him for third. Jacobs finished fourth ahead of Rob Chaney, 10th starting Greg Wilson, Byron Reed who charged from 20th starting spot to finish seventh, earning the Fisher Performance Hard Charger award. Randy Hannagan, Linder and Danny Smith completed the top ten finishers.

"I knew my only chance to get him (Kemenah) was on that last restart," Blaney said of his runnerup finish in the Jack Elden No. 22.

"I like to run the bottom at Attica," Kelly Kinser said of his charge from 11th to third. "When I went to school they taught me the shortest way around was on the inside. Those other guys were trying to he heroes running around the top."

The Crown Battery heat fell to Byron Reed, the B&B Products heat went to Craig Mintz, the Engler Machine and Tool heat was won by Mike Lutz and the TP Wings heat fell to Kemenah. Kenny Jacobs won the University of Northwestern Ohio B Main and Dean Jacobs captured the Haulmark Dash. Blaney was the Huggins Cams Fast Time qualifier.
