Midwest All Stars Take on Montgomery and Morgan County This Weekend

The stars of the Midwest All Star Series roar into Jacksonville, Illinois Friday night, August 3rd for the series initial appearance at the Morgan County Speedway. The series features an ever-tightening battle for the season championship, along with a stellar field of local and regional winged sprint car heroes.

The series, featuring the "Best of the Midwest" has played host to nearly one hundred drivers in eight events thus far in 2007. The racing has been spectacularly competitive, with only Jerrod Hull and Chad Blonde notching more than one feature win. The series points leader, Hull, holds a narrow twenty-three marker advantage over Springfield's Rob Standridge. Another Springfield standout, twenty-year-old A.J. Bruns, is third, just eighty-four points behind Hull. Tim Montgomery is fourth with hard charging youngster Ryan Bunton in fifth. The event promises to be a wide-open affair on the high-banked quarter-mile.

The O^0x24a5illy Midwest All Star Series brings big-time winged sprint car racing excitement to the Montgomery County Speedway in New Florence, MO. on Saturday, August 4th.

With a tight season championship points battle emerging, fans will be treated to some of the most competitive sprint car racing in the country. Six different drivers have been honored in victory lane at series events in 2007. Current point leader Jerrod Hull of Sikeston, MO. holds a narrow twenty-three point lead over Springfield, IL. driver Rob Standridge going into weekend racing events at Jacksonville, IL and Montgomery County. Nearly one hundred drivers have competed in series events in 2007, making the Midwest All Stars one of the most competitive and diverse sprint car racing groups in the country.

This will be one of the biggest events this season, with the ^0x30a5st of the Midwest^0x0ca1cing for $2,000 to win the feature event.
