All Stars Enter 2006 With a New Voice

CAMARGO, IL -- The All Star Circuit of Champions are viewing 2006 as "a season of change." Not only will the series have some new fan-friendly rules for the upcoming season as they visit some new tracks, they will also have a new "Voice of the All Stars".

The All Stars would like to welcome as their new announcer, long time sprint car media member, Dana Blair, of Wooster, Ohio. Dana comes to the series with nine years experience as an on track and booth announcer. In addition to his broadcast background, he is also a member of the print and internet media with his long standing coverage of sprint cars and the All Star series. Blair has also hosted his own racing radio show and has been involved in many other aspects of the sport.

Long time series announcer, Rob Klepper, has left to pursue a television broadcast opportunity with another organization. The All Stars would like to thank Rob for his efforts and wish him the best in his new endeavor.

In addition to broadcasting, Blair will be handling marketing and sales for the internet broadcast as well as the series print publication programs. "I'm looking forward to working with the All Stars again and getting back into the announcing part of the business," says Blair, "as I really enjoyed that part of it in years past."

The All Stars will once again be broadcasting each race live via the internet. Tune into www.GoLiveSports.com each race night. A link to the live broadcast can be found on the All Star web site. "Look forward to a lot more things happening during the broadcasts this year," says Blair. "We are looking to fill a lot of the dead air time between races and during support division races." Live and taped interviews, live guests, and live e-mail question and answer sessions are just some of the things planned for the new broadcast. "We will be acquainting the fans with the drivers to create a more personal feel. We want to get the fans more involved in knowing who our drivers are."

The All Stars kick off the 2006 season at Volusia Speedway in Barberville (Daytona), FL on February 7th.
