TULSA, OK - (August 22) - Before Saturday night the All Star Circuit of Champions vs. NCRA was becoming a Jeff Shepard and Gary Wright affair. But that all changed at Tulsa Speedway as ten-time champion Donnie Crawford led a 1-2-3 NCRA finish to close out the five-race Thunder Through the Plains series.

It was Crawford's third career O'Reilly Auto Parts NCRA win and his first with the All Stars. He became the 14th winner out of 47 All Star races this season. Wright finished second and Shane Stewart picked up third.

Crawford drove his Hillenburg Chevrolet-powered number 1 off the front row and into lead at the start of the 30 lapper and was quickly followed by Rocky Hodges, Stewart and Wright. The race only logged one completed lap when a car spin off the track in turn two to bring out the yellow.

On the restart the race was quickly stopped again, this time for Mike Goodman who spun to the infield. That was the last yellow of the race as Crawford settled down to business and led the next 28 laps unchallenged.

The trio of Stewart, Hodges and Wright tried to catch Crawford but could not get closer than two car lengths. Wright passed Hodges for third on lap three and seemed unable to advance further till the final lap. The five-time NCRA champion veered down low under Stewart in turn two and took the runner-up position away with a half lap to spare. Stewart found himself finishing third. Dean Jacobs brought home a fourth place finish for the All Stars and Hodges fell to fifth at the finish.
