BLOOMINGTON, IN (June 23) - On July 5. Bloomington Speedway will feature our three regular classes - non winged sprint cars, O'Neal Wood Products modifieds, and Tire & Wheel Center super stocks. In addition, we'll have a spectacular ariel fireworks display courtesy of Bloomington Powersports. To make this even a better deal for the fans, discount coupons will be available at Big Red Liquor Stores.

Mike and Judy Miles have pulled out all of the stops to make this one of the best shows of the year by running all three of our regular classes along with the spectacular fireworks display.

Kevin Briscoe, Justin Marvel, Derek Scheffel and maybe some others should be battling for the Bloomington Speedway non winged sprint car points lead by then; and they will all be doing whatever they can to improve their position. These drivers know the famous red clay better than anyone; and they can be counted upon to put on a great show. There is generally a huge field of cars. This assures the race fans that they will see tough competition for every race win.

While we always have a lot of cars in the pits, we do not schedule a lot of extra classes to fatten up the back gate. Out three regular classes are all that is needed. These guys understand that we will keep the program moving; and they are generally pretty co-operative in this effort.

As competitive as our regular drivers are, the real star of a Bloomington Speedway racing program is the track itself. Just about everyone who comes to Bloomington Speedway for the first time raves about the beautifully manicured racing surface. The rest of the facility is equally well-kept; and the view from the grandstand is simply beautiful.

Pit gates will open at 4:30 PM, the grandstand gates will open at 5:30 PM, hot laps will start at 6:30 PM, and racing will begin at 7:30 PM. General admission is $10 for this event; and pit admission is $20. Children are admitted free to the grandstand when accompanied by a paying adult. Overnight camping is permitted. Coolers are allowed; but no glass containers please.
