When Jason Meyers takes to the track tomorrow night for the first night of qualifying for the 50th edition of Knoxville Nationals, the crowds will be star struck. Today in a special ceremony Elite Racing and Allstar Performance unveiled their paint scheme for the 2010 Knoxville Nationals. The car is a reflection of the Allstar Performance logo which bears a black background and a white star.

In a ceremony with renowned racing journalist David Argabright, the car was revealed to a group of media and VIPS from the auto racing world. Driver and co-owner Jason Meyers, along with Elite Racing co-owner Chris Luck were part of the unveiling and answered questions about the special paint scheme and their partnership with Allstar Performance. Also on hand were principals from All Star Performance as they spoke about the history of their alliance at Knoxville.

Also revealed was Meyers' helmet and driver's suit for Nationals. The limited edition 1/18th and 1/64th die cast replicas that will be sold at Meyers' merchandise trailer were also unveiled. The car and all the elements were designed by Artist Jeff Sorrell and Motorsports Designs, who tied together the Allstar Performance logo into a paint scheme that will be eye catching on and off the track.

"We had a great turn out of both media and fans today and we really enjoyed getting to share this special occasion with so many people," stated Meyers. "Our partnership with Allstar Performance has been very successful and I think today we were able to once again raise the bar. I am looking forward to seeing this car in Victory Lane."

Now that the car has been unveiled, it is time to see it shine on the track in the first night of racing action for the 50th edition of Knoxville Nationals on Wednesday August 11, with the finale on Saturday night August 14.
