Patterson Motorsports announces their new driver for the 2001 season. With the exit of Kramer Williamson to the Fran Hogue team, the #33 URC team has signed on Doug Emery of Nedrow, NY.
In their second season on the URC tour, the Patterson Motorsports team of South Cairo, NY finished 6th in points. They had their first feature win at the season ending URC/ESS challenge race at Delaware.
Doug Emery is a 13 year veteran of the ESS club and ran 1 year on the SCCA circuit. Doug finished 5th in ESS points last year and has finished in the top 10 in points for 8 of his 13 years in sprints. He has a total of 10 career feature wins.
With two complete cars this Jimmy D's Racing Engines/Buckley chassis team should be a viable force in the URC tour for the upcoming season. The team is receiving sponsorship support this year from Patterson Masonry and JCK Trucking and Logging.
