Troyer Speed and Custom add to the long list of Empire Super Sprints sponsors.
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Troyer Speed and Custom of Rochester, N.Y. is a well respected name in the world of both DIRT and asphalt modified racing throughout most of the Northeast United State and Canada. New for 2003 is stocking of Maxim built sprint cars and several sprint car accessories. Helping the Empire Super Sprints (ESS) in celebrating their 20th anniversary, Troyer has come aboard with a sponsorship program for the season ending awards banquet that will be held on Sat., November 15th at the Turning Stone Casino Resort.
A lucky driver that finishes in the top 20 in points as well as displaying a Troyer logo on their sprinter for the entire season will receive $1000 off a Maxim frame in a blind draw. The sponsorship program will be a big help for one team in getting brand new equipment for the 2004 season.
Billy Colton has been the man with the ideas in building some of the most technical and successful chassis in the world of modified racing on both asphalt and dirt. Helping Colton and his fellow Troyer employees with the sprint car division is Kris (Dow) Kettlewell. The young lady is best known for being the first female driver ever to capture a feature event win with ESS which came on September 16th at the Merrittville Speedway.
With the addition of Troyer Speed and Custom, the 2003 season which marks the 20th consecutive for ESS is still building and promises to be the most exciting in history.
