After Seven Years, the Empire Super Sprints Return to Woodhull: Ms. Motorsports Chelsea Miller to be on Hand as Well.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- May 10th, 2000 was the date that the last time the winged warriors from the Empire Super Sprints (ESS) have visited the high banks of the Woodhull Raceway. This Saturday, it will be history in the making as the tour brought to you by Jacobs Motorsports will be trekking down to the Southern Tier of the New York State to put on a show at Vern Wasson's speed plant.

Woodhull has emerged as one of the most successful dirt track facilities in the northeast and with that success comes the return of the stars and cars of ESS. After a packed house of over 5000 fans that witnessed the annual Jim Williams Memorial show highlighted by fireworks last week, they will be back to see the return of the sprinters. Fans that were at the Memorial event will also get a special $4 off admission for the ESS event.

Leading the brigade will be Lance Yonge, who kicked off the return of ESS campaign back in March as he had is mount on display at the annual Woodhull Raceway/Arnot Mall Show. Along with the two-time champion will be current ESS point leader and three-time winner in '07, Jeff VanDusen, defending champion Alain Bergeron, Steve Poirier, Mike Stelter, Jeff Cook, Bubby Kerrick, Justin Barger, past Woodhull winner Tim Kelly and many more.

As an added attraction, Ms. Motorsports 2007, Chelsea Miller from Langhorne, Pa. will be making a special appearance to sign autographs and sing the national anthems. Miller is daughter of United Racing Club Vice-President Bob Miller and a big fan of ESS.

The Car Mate Custom Built Trailers heats will kick off the night followed by the Van Pelt Collision/Ted White Recovery/Walt's Hobby Dash and the KSE Racing Products B-Main all leading up to the 25 lap A-Main that pays $1600 to win. With the added contingencies, the winner's total will swell to well over $2,000 total.

Saturday night July 7th is the date; the Woodhull Raceway is the place, 25 years of winged sprint car excitement. The Empire Super Sprints are coming to Woodhull and as tradition continues, it will be excitement guaranteed!
